Question of the Week

Here are some of the ones that came in on Sunday:
"What is Your Favorite Comfort Food?"

“Carbs – Mac N Cheese”

“Mashed Potatoes!  The real things, NOT instant.  It just doesn’t get any  better than that!”

“Snickers Chocolate Bar”

“J’aime le beune de caquoette --- I like peanut butter (at all times)”

“Vino!”

“Fufu + soup”

“Anything that tastes good”

“Ice Cream Chocolate Chip”

“anything sweet, salty, and/or fattening”

“Pizza!    Pizza!     Pizza!”

And from an e-mail…     comfort food: meat loaf and mashed potatoes!

My comfort food?    I think my comfort food might be dark chocolate and almonds.    I say “I think” because I will on occasion get cravings for this even when I don't feel stressed or anxious.   Sounds more like an addiction that's gone wrong...  but hey, it is what it is.

Regardless, comfort foods do for sure help us cope!    And there’s a lot of good coping going on out there!    Can I get an AMEN?!?!

THIS week’s Question of the Week:

You can respond here, or wait till Sunday.   But since this is open for ANYONE (whether you come to our church or not) I’ll make the question open-ended enough to apply to all!

Some people here have asked if the Question of the week could be:
In a couple of sentences, describe Abiding Savior Lutheran Church as you would to someone who knows nothing about it.”

This might be most interesting to who are familiar enough with ASLC to be able to even write something.   But to outsiders – anyone reading this blog that doesn’t know ASLC – this might be a totally irrelevant question.

So – I’ll take this, and add something to it to make this week’s Question:

In a few sentences, describe what “church” is to you…
(interesting to note what people who go to church describe versus people who might not go to church)   ---- if you go to ASLC, describe this church as you would to someone who doesn’t know about it   (Basically, what is THIS church to you?)
