Meditation

Folks,

Haven’t sent anything like this in a while, but I found something I thought would be nice to send. It’s a poem by Rebecca Dietz, from over at Kittamaqundi Church here in Columbia. Don’t know the context of this poem… but nonetheless, it still speaks something good to us, considering at ALSC we’re focusing on our shared sense of human community during this season after Epiphany. Enjoy

Pearls, by Rebecca Dietz

You belong here

No matter what you were told

Or how you were planned

Life wanted you

And heaven itself bent

low to

Kiss the earth

Planting your soul

In soil and loam.

You bring something

We all need.

What is it?

What do you bring to the Altar of our communion?

To the chemistry of our seeds?

To the making of our home?
