Lenten Moment

   "Lord,     Open My      Life"



Sometimes I think we believe opening our lives to God means becoming a monk

         and spending our time in prayer 

   and doing other things that monks do.


       Or maybe it means following in the paths of others - 
     like Mother Teresa - 
                                    and helping the poor

                             or any of the other marginalized people                                                                                                                       around us 



But we can't all do it that way.      Or want to do it that way.      In that way.    


Maybe "opening our lives to God" might actually look more like

      Maybe 
                    opening our lives 
                                                     to God
    
might also mean    being 

                  open 

                     to God

                                   right where we are
                       
                                                                          right now.


Maybe God is here...

                      




                   And here...                        



                                                   ...just as much as God might be here

                                                                                   
 
    God is with you... 
      
             right where you are...    

      right now.
