Blogs away!

This is fast becoming my most hit site in my bookmarks. Sometimes when I'm at work and dealing with difficult teenagers, it helps just to check the blog after class and remember that we have a great supportive community in Christ. Maybe God gave me a challenge this year to push my levels of forgiveness and patience. I certainly hope that's the plan.

Remember, anyone can read the web site and comment - please encourage others from within and without the church. Authors need to respond to invitation, so please email me at ramccready@gmail.com if you want to become an author and haven't received an invitation yet. I'm fairly new to this blogging thing and learning it myself, but if you have any questions about how to post or comment, please ask me and I'll try to answer your question from the depths of my surface knowledge.

I know what you are talking about there, Richard. I truly believe that my children possess the exact attributes that force me to better myself. They make me realize how little patience and anger control I have. I try to look at it as a test from God, that I am supposed to learn from them and change my ways. I have to thank Him for making them so darn lovable, though.

The other night during the adult discussion, Pastor Chad asked how we see God in everyday life. Well, I have to answer that I see Him through my children everyday. I know that He is there guiding me, teaching me, and showing me how to act. Unfortunately, I don't always remember this, but I am certainly working on it.

It's funny, but as I write this I think of my most often used complaint to the children, "How many times must I tell you?!" God asks us the same question everyday and continues to give us more chances. How can I do less with the ones that I love?
