Appreciation for Bible Study 101
We have just concluded an eight week introduction to The Bible, Bible Study 101, taught by Pastor Chad. My personal opinion of “Bible Studies” in general is that they tend to be very earnest, very pious, and very boring – they seem to be a “warmed-up” version of elementary level Sunday School in that they tend to be non-controversial, to avoid any contradictions within the Bible, and to avoid any “hard” questions or issues. Pastor Chad’s Bible Studies 101 was not like that at all. He presented the material as though we were all intelligent adults. It was refreshing that Pastor Chad welcomed discomfiting questions and comments from the participants in the class.
I would like to publicly thank Pastor Chad for conducting Bible Studies 101. Should Pastor Chad choose to offer Bible Study 101 again this fall, I highly recommend your participation.

Thanks for the good words, Dave. What I liked was the give and take, the difficult and interesting questions! See, here's where I think things get interesting- when one perons thinks one thing, and another person thinks another. That's where the rubber meets the road. And that's where our faith stretches! So- thanks to you all!
